Dún Laoghaire Further Education Institute (DFEi) and Dún Laoghaire Rathdown Chamber of Commerce have come together to partner on “GDPR – A marketer’s guide: the breakfast briefing”, which will be hosted in the college on Thursday 15th March at from 8.00am to 9.00am. There will be complimentary parking onsite in DFEi at 17 Cumberland St. Dun Laoghaire, for the duration of the event.
This briefing is presented as a follow-on to the successful and highly attended event that Dún Laoghaire Rathdown Chamber held in early February on GDPR for its members.
Pat Neill, President, DLR Chamber from the Chamber said “This new EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) comes into force on 25th May of this year. As a Chamber working with our members, we are very aware of the obligations for both companies and individuals, not least being the key requirement of data content. It is important that we educate ourselves on every aspect of GDPR and encourage our members, and businesses within DLR to attend.
Cecilia Munro, Principal DFEi added “DFEi is delighted to host this event for local businesses working with DLR Chamber. DFEi also welcomes an opportunity to develop local business links with the courses on offer in the following areas (1) Animal Health Care (2) Arts, Business and Humanities (3) Community Healthcare and Nursing (4) Craft, Design and Construction, (5) Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths and (6) Media (Radio, Journalism, Sound and TV and Film).
There are two key speakers on the day; Colm Conyngham, Marketing & PR Manager from Bridgestone/Senior Lecturer with the European Institute of Communications, who will explore GDPR from a marketer’s viewpoint and Eugene McCann, eTailor who will examine forthcoming changes to registration of the .ie domain.dot – another key topic for SME’s.
