Dún Laoghaire – Rathdown Chamber recognises the real business challenges for both large and business groups in the modern world.
With that regard Dún Laoghaire – Rathdown Chamber have expressed the views of local businesses as to the difficulties that will arise should the proposed increase for commercial rates by 4% be approved.
Despite the best efforts of DLR Chamber and against the Chambers informed advice it would appear that Dún Laoghaire Rathdown County Council are seriously considering increasing commercial rates for businesses within the county area.
In representing all business members DLR Chamber strongly oppose this decision and again ask for reflection by those in authority to consider the very real business challenges in these uncertain economic times.
With that regard, DLR Chamber has communicated with all of the DLR Councillors requesting their support to hold the current level of Commercial Rates at the level which currently exists while reflecting upon the world economy uncertainties and Brexit implications at this time and recognising the difficulties for small businesses to make these current commercial rates payments.
It is important the views of business be heard and reflected in the decisions of DLR Council.
An increase in commercial rates at this time is not good for business.
DLR Chamber works tirelessly on behalf of its members, through representation, information, lobbying and advocacy at local, regional, national and European level.
