Award Description:
The Climate Leadership Award celebrates organisations that have embedded climate action into the heart of their business and demonstrate sustained year-on-year progress in reducing their environmental impact.
This award recognises organisations that go beyond individual environmental initiatives by integrating climate action into business strategy, governance and decision-making. Whether through reducing Scope 1, Scope 2 and Scope 3 emissions, improving operational performance, engaging suppliers or working towards Net Zero, this award honours organisations leading by example and inspiring positive environmental change.
The judges are looking for organisations that demonstrate measurable environmental improvements over time together with strong leadership, innovation and a long-term commitment to climate responsibility.

To be eligible, a business must:
- Have a primary business location in Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown.
- Be actively trading.
- Demonstrate an established commitment to climate action over a sustained period.
- Be able to provide measurable evidence supporting its application.
Special Considerations
This award is intended for organisations that have progressed beyond the early stages of climate action and can demonstrate continuous improvement over time.
Judges will recognise organisations that have embedded sustainability into their business strategy and culture through initiatives such as:
- Continuous reduction of Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions.
- Demonstrated reduction of Scope 3 emissions.
- Deep retrofitting of buildings and facilities.
- Long-term carbon reduction programmes.
