The WIBA actively promotes women’s empowerment and advancement and not just in business. In DLR Chamber, this is done through a number of key measures and actions.

WIBA encourages women to become a part of the Chamber in order to give them a platform for them and their business. WIBA gives women, and men, a chance to network and promote themselves to their peers, prospects and customers.

Women in Business Alliance (WIBA)

WIBA looks at issues that can affect women in their working lives. It helps them address and overcome the challenges they face. Looking at the empowerment of women economically in their business, WIBA actively encourages development and implementation of gender sensitive issues in employment and education. As a part of DLR Chamber, it influences policy at a local, national and EU basis.

The WIBA is integral to DLR Chamber and works collaboratively with SMEs and the Corporate client base of the Chamber.

Every year, WIBA celebrates International Women’s Day with a theme based lunch that gives WIBA a chance to network and start the process of doing business.

Women In Business Alliance (WIBA) was established in 2011 by past President Liz Ferris. It was a natural

Progressive from our women’s workshops which highlighted issues pertaining to women and how we could address them.

On International Women’s Day which falls on 8th March we hold a lunch for our members and friends.

We pick a theme each year and our women guest speakers come from all walks of like to impart

Wisdom and humour to our attendees at our lively lunches.
