We have had a bumper start to the year, and we’re only six weeks in! From meeting both existing and new members to witnessing first-hand the enthusiasm and commitment across Dún Laoghaire, the momentum for positive change is truly inspiring.

A particular highlight was the DLR Chamber President’s Lunch, held on January 30th at the Royal Marine Hotel. With the theme ‘New Year, New Energy’, our President, Jill Lush, set the tone with a strong message on engagement and collaboration—two key pillars that will drive our collective success in 2025.

We also had the pleasure of hearing from Frank Curran, CEO of DLR County Council, who provided a comprehensive update on plans for the County in 2025, outlining key investments in connectivity, community initiatives, and developments that will enhance Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown.

The event concluded with an incredible and deeply moving session from Alan Shortt, fresh from his time at the Pendulum Summit. His powerful message reminded us that before we can truly connect with others, we must first connect with ourselves—a lesson that resonates strongly as we continue building a more inclusive, vibrant, and collaborative community.
