As we reach the mid-point of 2025, DLR County Chamber of Commerce is proud to reflect on a vibrant and productive six months. Our focus has been on expanding connections, shaping strategic initiatives, and championing local business.
January
- We kicked off the year with our highly anticipated President’s Lunch, with Jill Lush MInstD our President, uniting business leaders, stakeholders, and members to discuss priorities for the year ahead and forge new connections. Our guest speakers were Frank Curran CEO, Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council and Alan Shortt.

- Our commitment to enhancing Dun Laoghaire’s evening and night-time economy took a significant step forward with the inaugural Purple Flag Key Stakeholders Meeting, bringing together local authorities, businesses, and community groups to collaborate on safety, vibrancy, and economic growth.

February
- We proudly launched our B2B Morning Meet-Ups at PTSB in Stillorgan. These sessions have quickly become a valuable space for members to network, share insights, and explore business collaborations in an informal setting.
March
- Our celebration of International Women’s Day was both impactful and inspiring, successfully raising €4,000 for Breast Cancer Ireland and spotlighting the remarkable contributions of women in business. Our guest speaker was Dr Lollie Mancey who left everyone lost for words with her insights. This event was made possible by out partners: Local Enterprise Office DLR, Frascati Centre Viv Gaine, EirGrid Group RBK Chartered Accountants
- We were delighted to welcome Wesley Hudson and John T. Murphy FPRII to our Board of Directors, bringing fresh perspectives and expertise to our leadership team.
- We celebrated our board member Emma Hickey MBA who climbed the highest mountain in South America, Aconcagua sitting at 7000 metres and successfully summited.
- We joined RWE for the launch of their new offices in Dun Laoghaire, underscoring the town’s growing reputation as a hub for innovative businesses and investment.
April
- A highlight for our corporate members was an exclusive evening in Leinster House, hosted by Cormac Devlin TD, offering a unique opportunity to engage directly with policymakers and discuss matters affecting business locally and nationally.
- We held our DLR County Chamber Strategy Day with our Board of Directors, shaping an ambitious vision and actionable goals for the Chamber’s future, with a strong focus on growth, member value, and advocacy.

May
- Our networking calendar expanded, with events now happening every two weeks The Glasshouses Dun Laogahire and PTSB , Stillorgan – helping members make new contacts and build lasting business relationships.
- We attended a Breakfast Briefing with Minister for Justice, Jim O’Callaghan TD , giving members exclusive insights into policy developments and justice issues relevant to the business community. It was great to be in attendance with Barry Andrews MEP and Cormac Devlin TD.
- Members benefited from our Effective LinkedIn Workshops, gaining practical skills to enhance their digital presence and professional networking. Thank you Hidai Degani and Orli Degani for facilitating these workshops so interactively.
June
- We were proud to participate in the Chambers Ireland Awards, with MC Ivan Yates, celebrating innovation and excellence across the national chamber network and showcasing the vibrancy of the business community in Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown.
- We were delighted to celebrate Aileen Eglington, and other volunteers who received a special award from An Cathaoirleach in recognition of her outstanding service and contribution to the community and local business landscape.
- We attended a breakfast with Maeve O’Connell TD with guest speaker Minister for Health, Jennifer Carroll MacNeill TD, where health policy and its impacts on business were top of the agenda.
- We supported Peter Caviston’s Charity Blooms Day Ball, reflecting our Chamber’s commitment to community engagement.
- We proudly sponsored the Cabinteely FC Special Olympics Team in the recent George Best Tournament in Belfast.
- Fantastic meeting with The Alzheimer Society of Ireland, watch this space with Frascati Centre
- Our bi-weekly networking events continue to grow, maintaining momentum and strengthening connections across our diverse membership.
As we look ahead to the second half of 2025, we remain committed to our mission of connecting, leading, and inspiring businesses in Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown. Thank you to all our members, partners, and stakeholders who make this journey possible.
