This week’s spotlight is shining on Sharon Commins CEO Southside Partnership DLR.

Southside Partnership DLR work with a variety of agencies and organisations so that individuals, groups and communities can find ways to bring about positive change and create more hopeful prospects for people who experience unemployment, poverty and social exclusion.

Sharon Commins has commenced in the role of CEO at Southside Partnership DLR. She brings 15 years’ experience in senior management roles in both large global and domestic non-profit sector organisations that have focussed on poverty alleviation and working with those on the margins of society.
Sharon has worked on a wide range of projects, from managing large health programmes in Sudan, to supporting the covid-19 response among the homeless and refugee communities in Ireland.

Sharon takes up the role on the 25th year anniversary of the Southside Partnership DLR which works in partnership to improve social and economic inclusion, and build vibrant communities in Dun Laoghaire Rathdown.

Sharon holds an MBA from UCD’s Michael Smurfit Business School, as well as a Masters in International Relations and an undergraduate degree in Journalism & Communications.
