Kokoro 心 is a Japanese word for “your heart, your soul, your spirit”. This philosophy is at the heart of
Kokoro Zen Wear.
Sharon is a fervent Eco activist who thinks global & acts local.
A designer and maker Sharon is also accredited to the Deign Council of Ireland.
Combining this passion with her creativity and design skills, Sharon’s vision for Kokoro Zen Wear is to grow the business internationally into an ultra-luxurious, 100% sustainable clothing brand.
Sharon has form when it comes to bringing new ideas to life. She introduced the hair scrunchie to Ireland in the 1980s, supplying Brown Thomas and other stores with her designs. She also established clothing boutiques in Dublin and Brussels, where she promoted Irish, European and US fashion brands.
In keeping with Sharon’s ethos to tread lightly on the earth, she has based Kokoro’s design studio in Dublin and only works with certified sustainable suppliers.

At our creative studio in Dublin, we design and create our clothing ranges made out of bamboo and bamboo silk. These two fabrics are luxurious and timeless to wear.
All of our fabrics are 100% Eco-certified and OEKO-TEX certified. This means they are sustainable, hypoallergenic and antibacterial, and that no chemical treatments are used.
