Update from DLR Chamber

There is lots going on between tourism in the county and business as usual.  Have you seen the new tourist bus going around?  Be sure to keep an eye out for it if you’re in the Dun Laoghaire area.  It has just launched and will be a great addition to the tourism industry in the county.

We were so lucky to have Kingsley Aikins facilitate one of our best networking events earlier this month, on the subject of networking.  Those that attended were delighted to learn some new tips when it came to networking.  If you missed the event, here are the key takeaways that I took from the event:

1. To survive and thrive you need to build a strong and diverse network

2. It’s not the strongest of the species that survive – it’s the ones that can withstand change

3. Grow your network and nurture it to Fit in and stand out

4. Introverts make excellent networkers – they act with decency and integrity, they ask questions and listen

5. Your network is like an Orchestra and you are the conductor – when they all come together the whole is better than the sum of the parts.

We have more exciting events planned for the months ahead, including our 75th anniversary summer event, with details to be announced soon.  We will keep you posted.
